This captivating charcoal sketch on A3-size paper is a traditional representation inspired by Indian mythology, specifically focusing on Lord Krishna and the Dashavatara (Ten Avatars of Vishnu). The artwork features: A concentric circular layout in the center that beautifully illustrates the Dashavatara, starting from Matsya (the fish) to Kalki (the future warrior), each depicted in dynamic poses with their respective symbols and stories. Lord Krishna, an incarnation of Vishnu, prominently appears in various scenes – possibly referencing his divine leelas (playful acts), with depictions of flute playing and scenes from the Mahabharata. The borders are adorned with ornate pillars and mythological figures, showcasing fine detailing and symmetry. The sketch incorporates elements like fish, conches, drums, and temple motifs, adding to the divine and celebratory tone. Executed entirely in charcoal pencil, the piece highlights expert use of shading, intricate line work, and traditional Indian folk art influences (notably resembling Madhubani or Pattachitra styles). It captures the essence of divine tales and spiritual themes in a richly detailed and balanced composition.
Ideally paintings don't require much care as its a vertical surface, hence dust doesn't settle quite easily. You can gently dry dust the painting once in a month. You can also gently use a slightly damp cloth and dab it gently over the surface to capture the dust particles. You can do this once in 6 months.
