Being from Gaya; Buddha has been an integral part of art and architecture of my life. It is most common art form. However I wished to give it a spin this time. Rather than a regular meditative Buddha generally painted in metallic or earthy colours; I thought why not put some energy in a black stone Buddha. My aim was to show the love and respect people shower on these tiny torsos. It depicts Buddha in a dark cave meditating while his followers showered him with bright colours and beautiful white flowers. It has for so long been locked up in my storage.
