In this Impressionist oil-on-canvas, I focused on the vertical rhythms of the shoreline trees against the horizontal stillness of the lake. I utilized thick impasto to give the brightest lemon yellow and fiery orange leaves a physical presence, while the shadows are carefully composed of rich violets and cool blues to maintain atmospheric luminosity. The water is rendered with delicate, broken horizontal strokes to capture the shimmering, elongated reflections of the vibrant canopy against the hazy blue-green mountain backdrop.
Ideally paintings don't require much care as its a vertical surface, hence dust doesn't settle quite easily. You can gently dry dust the painting once in a month. You can also gently use a slightly damp cloth and dab it gently over the surface to capture the dust particles. You can do this once in 6 months.
