An abstract study of life’s accumulated joys, losses, relationships and learning, expressed through layered, flowing colour.
Guided by the artist’s description, the painting explores identity as something patiently formed through accumulated experience. Its stacked marks suggest joy, loss, learning, relationships and passing time, with each individual layer contributing to the rich, complex person that gradually emerges.
This is an expressive contemporary abstract work with a strong watercolor sensibility. Translucent washes, irregular brush bands, splatters, fine linear gestures and small metallic-looking accents create an intuitive, mixed-media character. The imagery remains nonrepresentational while evoking emotional and personal narrative.
This painting would suit a calm living room, bedroom, reading nook, personal studio or therapy and wellness space. Its introspective abstract language encourages lingering reflection without overwhelming a room. Display it on a light neutral wall, ideally with natural wood, linen textiles or understated contemporary furnishings. This artwork will complement any room or space beyond those mentioned, depending on individual preference.
The mood is reflective, intimate and gently optimistic. Darker purples and earth tones acknowledge complexity and hardship, while soft washes, airy white space and luminous gold details suggest resilience, healing and value within lived experience. It feels contemplative rather than heavy, like an unfolding personal memory.
The composition is organized as a vertical accumulation of broad, arcing and horizontal painted bands. These layered forms create a sense of strata or pages of memory, while looping black lines connect separate areas like relationships or thought pathways. Ample white margins keep the energetic arrangement balanced and open.
The palette combines muted yet resonant shades of teal, sage green, dusty mauve, violet, burgundy, rust, ochre and warm brown. White negative space gives the colours breathing room, while black dots and lines provide crisp contrast. Small gold accents introduce moments of visual warmth and preciousness.

Ideally paintings don't require much care as its a vertical surface, hence dust doesn't settle quite easily. You can gently dry dust the painting once in a month. You can also gently use a slightly damp cloth and dab it gently over the surface to capture the dust particles. You can do this once in 6 months.
Please do not use soap water, detergent, disinfectants or any chemicals over the painting as it might dissolve the colors. Paper and cloth paintings are usually framed with a glass on top, hence the artwork will remain intact. You would just need to clean the glass.
