A vivid mosaic-inspired portrait of Lord Hanuman, formed from interlocking painted fragments in jewel-like colour.
This painting honors Lord Hanuman as a heroic, steadfast divine protector. Its fragmented yet unified surface suggests devotion built through many interlocking energies, while the gada, crown, powerful stance, and curling tail emphasize courage, service, spiritual strength, and mythic presence.
The work uses a semi-abstract, mosaic-inspired figurative style with visibly painted, irregular tessellated fragments. Rather than mechanically precise tiles, the shapes retain brushy variation and layered texture. Bold outlines, stylized anatomy, and decorative sacred iconography connect contemporary expression with traditional devotional imagery.
This painting would suit a prayer room, meditation area, temple-inspired interior, living room feature wall, or reception space seeking a bold cultural statement. Its vibrant palette and devotional subject also work well in creative studios, hallways, and contemporary homes with eclectic or Indian-inspired décor. This artwork will complement any room or space beyond those mentioned, depending on individual preference.
The mood is intensely heroic, reverent, and uplifting. Hanuman’s frontal gaze and strong stance project confidence and protection, while the colorful fractured rhythms create spiritual vitality. The painting feels ceremonial and energetic rather than quiet, inviting admiration, devotion, and a sense of empowered resilience.
Hanuman occupies the central vertical axis in a commanding full-length pose, making him the immediate focal point. Circular red-orange tail forms and a turquoise halo structure frame his figure. The gada anchors the lower left, while surrounding mosaic fragments extend the energy across the entire canvas.
A saturated jewel-tone palette dominates the painting, combining ruby red, burnt orange, lapis blue, turquoise, emerald, teal, and glowing gold. Warm reds and oranges energize Hanuman’s body and gada, while cool blue-green fragments create depth, contrast, and a radiant halo-like environment.

Assembled from hundreds of irregular interlocking oil-painted fragments that recall a handmade mosaic, this semi-abstract painting honors Lord Hanuman with fluid devotion. Ruby, burnt orange, lapis, turquoise, emerald, and gold fragments merge, crack, and blur across the face, crown, gada, and sweeping tail. The rich chromatic variety and visible painterly rhythms create a deeply heroic and tactile presence on linen canvas without mechanical repetition.
Ideally paintings don't require much care as its a vertical surface, hence dust doesn't settle quite easily. You can gently dry dust the painting once in a month. You can also gently use a slightly damp cloth and dab it gently over the surface to capture the dust particles. You can do this once in 6 months.
Please do not use soap water, detergent, disinfectants or any chemicals over the painting as it might dissolve the colors. Paper and cloth paintings are usually framed with a glass on top, hence the artwork will remain intact. You would just need to clean the glass.
