In this painting, I sought to capture the quiet intensity and timeless elegance of red roses. I have always been drawn to their ability to express deep emotion without wordslove, longing, and a certain stillness that feels almost meditative. Each bloom is carefully observed and painted, allowing the folds of the petals to emerge through layers of rich crimson, light, and shadow.
I chose a soft, neutral background to let the roses breathe and stand in their full presence, undisturbed. The composition rises gently upward, suggesting growth and continuity, while the interplay of light across the petals and leaves brings a sense of life and immediacy. For me, this work is not just about flowers, but about capturing a fleeting moment of beauty and holding it still inviting the viewer to pause, reflect, and connect with something quietly profound.
Ideally paintings don't require much care as its a vertical surface, hence dust doesn't settle quite easily. You can gently dry dust the painting once in a month. You can also gently use a slightly damp cloth and dab it gently over the surface to capture the dust particles. You can do this once in 6 months.
Please do not use soap water, detergent, disinfectants or any chemicals over the painting as it might dissolve the colors. Paper and cloth paintings are usually framed with a glass on top, hence the artwork will remain intact. You would just need to clean the glass.
