Inspired by the calm of Scandinavian coastal towns, this painting came from a longing for a kind of quietness that feels earned — the stillness of a place that has learned to coexist with cold, with water, with long winters. The harbor is early morning: boats resting, mountains reflected in still water, the town beginning its day without fuss. There is no spectacle here, only the beauty of ordinary life in an extraordinary landscape. Painted in watercolor on paper at 15 × 22 inches, the colors are cool and deliberate — pale blues, soft grays, and the faint warmth of morning light just arriving at the edges of things.
Ideally paintings don't require much care as its a vertical surface, hence dust doesn't settle quite easily. You can gently dry dust the painting once in a month. You can also gently use a slightly damp cloth and dab it gently over the surface to capture the dust particles. You can do this once in 6 months.
