Meditative concentric forms in clay, stone and umber create a refined focal point with quiet tactile depth.
Honouring the artist’s title, the painting explores stone, clay and the bindu: a concentrated central point associated with stillness and focus. Its expanding circular fields suggest inner reflection, grounding, and a contemplative journey from earthly materiality toward a quiet spiritual centre.
This is a contemporary abstract oil painting with minimalist, meditative sensibilities. Softly layered, imperfect concentric discs retain visible painterly texture and tonal variation, lending the work an organic handmade quality. Its restrained geometry recalls modern colour-field abstraction while remaining tactile, warm and materially evocative.
This painting would suit a serene living room, minimalist bedroom, contemplative study, upscale entryway or wellness-focused space. Its natural neutral palette complements plaster walls, linen textiles, wood, stone and modern furniture. Display it above a console, sofa or reading chair for a sophisticated focal point. This artwork will complement any room or space beyond those mentioned, depending on individual preference.
The mood is tranquil, grounded and introspective. Rather than dramatic contrast, the painting uses softened edges, weathered textures and slow tonal transitions to encourage calm attention. The tiny dark bindu acts as a visual pause, giving the image a quietly ceremonial and restorative presence.
The composition is organised around a large, slightly off-centre circular formation with a small dark bindu at its core. Expanding rings create a measured sense of movement, while a dark horizontal band entering from the left counterbalances the circles and anchors the otherwise airy neutral ground.
A subdued palette of stone grey, sandy beige, cream, terracotta and raw umber establishes an earthy visual language. The pale central disc provides gentle illumination, while the deep brown horizontal area adds weight. Muted olive-grey passages enrich the surface without disrupting its understated tonal harmony.
