This piece is a technical exploration of dappled light and organic texture. Using a controlled Impressionist approach, I focused on the gnarled complexity of the oak’s bark, building surface tension through subtle impasto highlights. The color palette relies on broken hues—interweaving amber, olive, and deep indigo—to create shadows that feel alive with reflected light rather than static darkness. By softening the background into a hazy abstraction, the central oak maintains a commanding structural presence, inviting the viewer into a moment of temporal stillness and balanced color harmony.
Ideally paintings don't require much care as its a vertical surface, hence dust doesn't settle quite easily. You can gently dry dust the painting once in a month. You can also gently use a slightly damp cloth and dab it gently over the surface to capture the dust particles. You can do this once in 6 months.
Please do not use soap water, detergent, disinfectants or any chemicals over the painting as it might dissolve the colors. Paper and cloth paintings are usually framed with a glass on top, hence the artwork will remain intact. You would just need to clean the glass.
