An expressive mixed-media portrait combines a jeweled profile, torn paper, vivid pigments, and energetic layered marks.
This deeply personal imagined portrait explores identity, adornment, memory, and creative transformation. A graceful feminine profile emerges from accumulated fragments, suggesting a figure shaped by experience and emotion. The jewelry, ceremonial-looking headpiece, and layered surfaces give the work a sense of individuality, celebration, and inner storytelling.
The painting uses an expressive mixed-media collage approach, combining painted passages with torn printed paper, gestural drips, scratched lines, and textured overlays. Its stylized profile recalls fashion illustration and contemporary portraiture, while the handmade layering preserves the spontaneous, intuitive process described by the artist.
This painting would suit a contemporary living room, creative studio, fashion-inspired dressing area, or eclectic entryway. Its bold colour contrasts and ornate portrait make it ideal as a statement piece against neutral walls, especially in spaces featuring modern furniture, metallic accents, layered textiles, or collected decorative objects. This artwork will complement any room or space beyond those mentioned, depending on individual preference.
The mood is vibrant, confident, and emotionally charged. Rich ornamentation gives the figure a glamorous, ceremonial presence, while fractured paper and loose marks introduce vulnerability and movement. The work feels celebratory yet introspective, inviting viewers to discover personal narratives within its energetic surfaces and expressive face.
A side-facing portrait dominates the upper center-right, immediately directing attention toward the eye, lips, and jewel-encrusted headdress. Dense black and red sections on the left counterbalance the pale collage field on the right. Layered vertical drips, diagonal fragments, and looping marks create a dynamic, asymmetrical visual rhythm.
Strong crimson, black, white, and earthy brown establish dramatic contrast, while turquoise-green skin creates a striking focal point. Warm gold, yellow, and copper accents echo the luminous jewelry, and smaller touches of olive and pink add visual complexity. The palette feels both opulent and raw.

Ideally paintings don't require much care as its a vertical surface, hence dust doesn't settle quite easily. You can gently dry dust the painting once in a month. You can also gently use a slightly damp cloth and dab it gently over the surface to capture the dust particles. You can do this once in 6 months.
Please do not use soap water, detergent, disinfectants or any chemicals over the painting as it might dissolve the colors. Paper and cloth paintings are usually framed with a glass on top, hence the artwork will remain intact. You would just need to clean the glass. Always keep artworks away from direct sunlight and also from walls having water leakage problem, - as both can damage it.
