"Whispers of the Waterlilies" was inspired by the quiet beauty of a lotus pond I often observed. The way light dances on the water, how lily pads gently float, and how silence itself seems alive in such places deeply moved me. This painting is my attempt to capture that meditative stillness and share the calm energy it gives.
I want viewers to feel a sense of peace, as if they are sitting by the water and listening to nature’s whispers. The reflections in the painting symbolize inner reflection—an invitation to slow down, breathe, and find beauty in stillness.
I chose acrylic paints for their vibrant colors and fast layering ability, which allowed me to build rich textures and depth. The impressionist style felt natural, as it mirrors the fleeting, delicate play of light and water. The subject matter—lotuses and waterlilies—represents purity and serenity, making the work perfect for creating a tranquil atmosphere in any space.
Ideally paintings don't require much care as its a vertical surface, hence dust doesn't settle quite easily. You can gently dry dust the painting once in a month. You can also gently use a slightly damp cloth and dab it gently over the surface to capture the dust particles. You can do this once in 6 months.
Please do not use soap water, detergent, disinfectants or any chemicals over the painting as it might dissolve the colors.
