In this project Kumar painted blindfolded which stands as metaphor for the absence of her father. The significance of her father's name when translated means dark or blue and is also an epithet of Lord Krishna. The painting plays around the color scheme of hues of blueÕs, while also entailing free hand calligraphy. KumarÕs idea was to compose shlokas of Lord Krishna and her father's name combined using the procedure of calligraphy on to the canvas.
Kumar used oil paints to give the profundity and force to the layers of blue, which implicates the various stages of her life after his death, that implies the different steps of grief, while employing acrylic for the calligraphy work. Kumar believes art is truly an expression of emotion, this project depiction passes on human feelings in all its fineness, from happiness to grief to depression.
