This is an Indian folk art called Pichwai. It's originated around 400 years ago in the town of Nathdwara near Udaipur in Rajasthan, India. Intricate and visually stunning, Pichwai paintings, depict tales from Lord Krishna's life. It portrays the glory of lord Krishna in the form of Srinath Ji. Though originally these paintings were primarily made on cloth, I have made this painting on canvas paper. These paintings personify Krishna and Krishna is shown in different moods, body postures, and attire along with lotus and holy cow. These paintings are used as the backdrop of Srinathji idol in his Shrine in Nathdwara. The Tanjore effect for the jewellery adds special charm to this painting. The clay work has been added to give 3D effect to his Mukut (Crown) Product Code-ART_8561_66509
