Mohiniyattam is the 5th dance form from the series of Indian classical dance form, which is originated from the state of Kerala. Mohiniatyam literally means 'dance of the enchantress', where 'Mohini' means enchantress and 'Attyam' meaning sensuous body movements. This dance form is typically performed by women.
The main aspect of Mohiniatyam is Lasyam dance form focuses on the Kaushiki style of movement, which is one of the four styles mentioned in Natya Shastra.
The costume includes white or off-white colored sari with bright golden border, similar to a ceremonial Kasavu saree. Along with this costume, Kerala style golden Jewelries are adorned. The hairdo is one of the identifying feature of this dance form, where the hair is gathered and tied into a smooth tight round chignon on one side of the head, typically on left side and the bun then ringed with fragrant flowers like jasmine mulla.
The painting is done around the elaborate background inspired from famous celebration of Thissur Pooram festival at Vadakkumnathan Temple, which is very famous for it's beautiful elephants adorning with nettipattam, fireworks and its secular nature of celebration.

Ideally paintings don't require much care as its a vertical surface, hence dust doesn't settle quite easily. You can gently dry dust the painting once in a month. You can also gently use a slightly damp cloth and dab it gently over the surface to capture the dust particles. You can do this once in 6 months.
Please do not use soap water, detergent, disinfectants or any chemicals over the painting as it might dissolve the colors. Paper and cloth paintings are usually framed with a glass on top, hence the artwork will remain intact. You would just need to clean the glass. Always keep artworks away from direct sunlight and also from walls having water leakage problem, - as both can damage it.

- Framed artworks are shipped in thermocol boxes, secured with multiple layers of bubble wraps.

- International shipping: Paintings shipped internationally are rolled and shipped in a tube. The painting is not stretched and is not ready to hang. It is meant to be framed by the customer at their local frame shop.
